Is telephone box no longer in current use ?

We call telephone booth telephone box in Japan. Perhaps English speakers also call it telephone box. The number of telephone boxes has been decreasing every year. We can use a telephone card when we use it. However, I supose few people regularly carry the card  in Japan now.
